When he found the last leather jacket factory in Scandinavia, in Malung, Sweden—a town with more than a century of leathercraft history—he saw more than just a chance. He felt compelled to revive a fading tradition.

The Malung factory, founded in 1938, was home to generations of skilled seamstresses who passed down their techniques and secrets over the years. However, as fast fashion and mass production gained momentum, the factory struggled and nearly closed. Martin stepped in, determined to save this historic workshop and revive the art of leatherworking. His goal was to create timeless pieces that combine tradition, quality, and innovation. Martin’s commitment to quality shows in everything he does. From the outset, he selected only the finest materials. Every leather jacket from the Malung factory is crafted from carefully selected premium leather, chosen for its exceptional texture, durability, and unique character. Skilled seamstresses, with years of experience, craft each piece with care. Their attention to detail means every stitch, seam, and cut meets the highest standards. A significant milestone for the Martin Key brand was the opening of its flagship store in Stockholm. Here, the vision of modern elegance and timeless style comes alive.
